picThe development of measurement methods of the scattering coefficients and the coomplex permittivity in the millimeter and microwave region

To remove an influence in the sample insertion hole which becomes a problem about the complex permittivity measurement of the material by the perturbed cavity resonator when the height of the resonator is low, we proposed an new type resonator without insertion holes. In the microwave and V-UHF band, we created new resonators operating in 200 MHz, 2.4 GHz and 5.6-GHz band. We measured complex-dielectric-constant of the low-loss material such as rock salt and this new cavity clarified the usability. Also, we reviewed the possibility of the millimeter-wave permittivity measurement of the thin-film material using an open type Fabry-Perot resonator.
