Interdisciplinary Seminars

These seminars aim to instill students of the three departments—Department of Mathematics and Information Sciences, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Department of Mechanical Engineering—with presentation and communication skills reflecting a broad point of view. In these seminars, students will present the background, issues, and results of their research to instructors and students of other departments with an emphasis on describing problems and raising issues. They will have a chance to experience what these three fields have in common and how they differ in viewpoint thereby expanding their individual perspective and promoting exchange that goes beyond the boundaries of their respective departments.
